Air Blowers and Drying Systems
Available in both aluminum and 304 stainless steel, Paxton Air Knives
are designed to give maximum efficiency for high velocity air drying and
blow off applications. These systems feature a continuous, uninterrupted
air slot design that give uniform air coverage over the project area with
a standard gap setting of 0.055 inches. The rugged 304 SS construction
of the stainless steel air knives stands up to the harsh detergents used
in washdown facilities.
Air knives are used to blow liquids or debris off a wide variety
of materials:
• Water and chemicals can be sheared from surfaces after washing
• Bottling and canning facilities use air knives to dry products prior
to date coding or labeling
• Fruit and other food products are dried, and dirt and debris are blown
off with air
• After cutting or machining, debris and scrap are effectively removed
from metal, wood, cardboard, plastic and other surfaces
• Packaged foods are air dried without adding excessive heat
• After applying coatings to parts, foods, etc, excess coating can be
sheared off to evenly distribute the coating
• Chemicals and flux can be removed from printed circuit boards
Paxton Nozzle Manifolds are ideal for applications required a greater
than standard distance between the air source and the surface to be dried
or blown off. Nozzle Manifolds maintain thrust as far away as 18 inches.
Nozzle Manifolds are the ideal blow off solution for:
- conveyors of multiple item types of various sizes and shapes
- products that have a multi-faceted surface to dry
- products with nooks, crannies or holes
- applications requiring air with a concentrated high thrust
- applications where it is critical to mount the air delivery devices
more than 5 inches from the blow off surface
The Paxton CapDryer provides complete drying of the bottle neck and lid
to improve quality of coding, tamper banding, labeling and vision system
results. It is available in 2 sizes, to fit most bottle types & conveyor
configurations.
The CapDryer systems target the neck and lid of most bottle types
and sizes, and when coupled with a Paxton AT-series blower, thoroughly
dries the cap and throat within an 18-30” footprint.
- Reduce false readings from vision systems
- Improved adhesion and positioning of label and tamper band
- Eliminate coding quality issues due to smearing
- Easily adjustable for varying bottle sizes
CapDryer Features:
- Effectively dries bottles ranging from 8 oz to 3 liters
- 12-24 nozzles providing multi-directional blow off
- Built-in spray containment
- Easy Installation
- Stainless steel construction
- Adjustment markings for ideal placement
- Powered by a Paxton AT-series blower
- Integral mounting arm included
- Optional use empty bottle blow off also included
Mounting Arm Features:
- Integral crank for effortless product change over
- Horizontal (5") and vertical (10") adjustment
- Locks in place after adjustment
- Stainless steel construction
Bottle Blow Off Attachment Features:
- Horizontal (1") and vertical (9") adjustment
- Stainless steel construction
- Thrust can be increased for heavier product
The same Inline Manifold that is standard with the PowerDry System is also available for use with other blower sizes and configurations. The Inline Manifold is ideal for drying the tops of cans and other containers thoroughly, prior to date coding or other packaging operations. The Inline manifold has six nozzles focused on the top surface of the product and is available with either a polypropylene manifold or a 316 stainless steel manifold, both with Loc-Line nozzles. The In-line system is designed for drying the tops or bottoms only of cans or jars and other products using six in-line flexible nozzles.
Now available in 3 sizes, the Spyder Manifold is the most effective system
for drying tips, sides and under the rim of cans, bottles and jars, as
well as spot drying for hard to reach areas of industrial products or areas
needing extra attention, such as holes, . Spyder Manifolds combine inline
nozzles with 'spider-like' arms that flex to any position to reach under
and around to accommodate specific drying needs. The spyder arms quickly
adjust to different sizes and shapes, for multi-purpose lines. The Spyder
Manifold comes in 4, 8 and 16 arm models, to accommodate both high speed
and low speed lines, as well as multi-lane lines.
- under the crown and the rim
- hard to reach or hard to dry areas
- adjustable for varying product and package sizes
- prevents bacteria and corrosion under the lid
The new Air Halo was designed to provide 360 degree drying of materials
on a conveyor system. The Air Halo wraps around and attaches to the conveyor
with powerful nozzles ideal for irregularly shaped products. The nozzles
provide thrust up to 18 inches away, enabling the Air Halo to be used for
multiple products on the same line.
- 360 degree drying
- Ideal for large, irregular surface items such as beer kegs
- Thrust up to 18 inches away from target
- Custom designed based on product size and conveyor size
- Powerful 3 inch air manifold
- 0.5 inch ID nozzles
- Coupled with AT-series blowers to give high efficiency and low energy
usage
The UNO nozzle provides targeted airflow for a small target. Designed
to replace a single compressed air nozzle remote from a larger air delivery
device, the UNO nozzle facilitates further reduction in compressed air
usage.
- Replaces compressed air nozzle
- 2 inch OD inlet
- ½ inch ID outlet, Loc-Line
